International Dark Skies Week
As part of the International Dark Sky Week, we held a very special event in the communities of San Javier and Los Dolores, in collaboration with the Cielo Mágico Astronomy Club and the Menichipa Youth Club.

Under a clear, deep, and star-filled sky, we experienced a truly magical night. Children, youth, and adults came together to observe the cosmos, marvel at the wonders of the universe, and reflect on the importance of preserving our dark skies as an essential part of our natural and cultural heritage.
The event featured inspiring talks, telescope observations, and awe-filled moments with astronomer Bruce Catter, who shared his knowledge and passion for the cosmos, leaving a lasting impression on all who attended.

This gathering not only sparked scientific curiosity and a love for the night sky, but also reminded us of the urgent need to protect natural darkness from increasing light pollution. It was a transformative experience that connected communities with the universe—and with the responsibility to preserve its magic for future generations.
