BAJA’S BIGGEST ASTRONOMY FESTIVAL IS BACK!
December 11 and 12, 2026
The cosmos and dark skies take center stage once again in Loreto. Professional and amateur astronomers will gather to observe and share the region’s spectacular night skies and celebrate the growing astronomy community in Baja Sur.
Bigger and better this year: in addition to dozens of telescopes of all sizes, there will be screenings, photography exhibitions, contests, workshops, astronomy-themed films, talks, and more.
Loreto and San Javier will once again host the events, but this time, you can enjoy various activities not only during the main event days but also in the days leading up to and following them.

We are excited to introduce Loreto Vivo, a new annual celebration of Art • Conservation • Community at Marina Puerto Escondido.
December 11–13, 2026
Loreto Vivo will bring together a curated group of fine artists from Loreto, Baja California Sur and beyond for a weekend inspired by the landscapes, wildlife and creative spirit that make this region unlike anywhere else.
The weekend begins Friday evening at La Bocana Beach Club with the Loreto Vivo Opening Night & Benefit Dinner for Conserva Loreto, followed by a two-day open-air Art Walk along the marina Malecón featuring art, music, food and the opportunity to meet the artists behind the work.
Artists capture what makes Loreto extraordinary. Conservation helps ensure it remains here to inspire us.
