Celebrating 30 Years of Bahía de Loreto National Park

This year, we celebrated the 30th anniversary of Loreto Bay National Park, marking three decades of conservation and commitment to protecting one of the most valuable natural treasures of Baja California Sur.

As part of the celebration, we had the opportunity to enjoy Ocean Oasis, a documentary shared by Exequiel Ezcurra and the San Diego Natural History Museum, which takes us on a journey through the extraordinary biodiversity of the Baja California Peninsula and the deep connection between the desert and the Sea of Cortez.

Through its stunning imagery, the documentary highlights the richness of these waters, their nutrient-rich currents, and some of the emblematic species that inhabit the region, including giant manta rays, dolphins, and whales.

Celebrating 30 years is also a reminder of the importance of continuing to work together to understand, value, and conserve the extraordinary biodiversity of Bahía de Loreto, ensuring that this natural heritage endures for future generations.
