Birdwatching: celebrating wetland life

Birdwatching: celebrating wetland life

At Conserva Loreto, we joined the celebration of World Wetlands Day with a birdwatching activity in Nopoló and Estero Las Garzas, a vibrant ecosystem that supports both resident and migratory bird species.

During the activity, we observed a variety of birds in their natural habitat and reflected on the importance of wetlands. These ecosystems not only provide refuge for wildlife, but also play essential roles in water regulation and environmental protection.

Protecting wetlands means protecting the life that depends on them—including our own.

This gathering was an invitation to observe, learn, and appreciate the natural richness of Loreto. Activities like this help strengthen the connection between the community and its environment, encouraging respect and conservation.

We thank everyone who joined us and shared this experience. Let’s continue working together to protect our wetlands and the life they sustain.
