Do Science Like a Girl: Voices that Inspire

At Conserva Loreto, we joined the celebration of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science through the webinar “Do Science Like a Girl,” a space created to inspire, share experiences, and highlight the work of women across different scientific fields.

During this event, we heard from women who are building meaningful paths in science and making an impact in their communities and in ecosystem conservation.

Science is also built through inspiration, diverse perspectives, and the power of shared experiences.

Among the speakers was Dr. Natalia Rodríguez Revelo, a specialist in environment and development, whose work in entomology and ecosystem management has contributed to the understanding of biodiversity in Mexico. We were also joined by Dr. Wendi Domínguez, a social sciences researcher, who shared an interdisciplinary perspective on tourism, sustainability, and community development.

We also learned from Tania Bravo, an emerging scientist whose work in conservation genetics reflects the commitment of new generations to protecting biodiversity.

This webinar created an opportunity to connect, learn, and recognize the importance of creating more spaces for girls and women in science, helping them find inspiration and build their own paths.

We thank all the speakers and participants who joined this conversation. Let’s continue promoting a more inclusive, diverse, and accessible science.
