Training Future Educators for Conservation

Environmental education begins in early childhood, and at Conserva Loreto we believe in strengthening it through teacher training.

In this context, we shared the talk “Native and Endemic Species of Baja California Sur: Scientific Foundations for Conservation and Environmental Education in Early Childhood” with students from the Preschool Education program at CREN Marcelo Rubio Ruiz in Loreto.

During the session, we explored the importance of understanding and valuing native and endemic species in our region, as well as their role in fostering environmental awareness from an early age. This space encouraged reflection on how to integrate these concepts into educational practice and build stronger connections between future generations and their natural environment.

Educating in early childhood means planting the seeds for long-term conservation.

We thank the invitation and the commitment to strengthening environmental education through the course “Building Environmental Thinking,” helping shape educators dedicated to caring for the environment.
